The MSR for the Javelin connects to the keyboard port and passes track 2 data to the Javelin as keyboard input. It mounts to the right side of the Javelin.
Installation
1. Screw the MSR into the Javelin by using two screws that connect the mounting bracket to the base.
2. Plug it into the keyboard using the included adapter. The plug includes a Y connection to allow a Javelin keyboard to be plugged in also.
3. The reader runs with all factory option settings. There are no dip switches.
Operation
When a card is swiped a green LED will show if the read was succesful and a red LED if unsuccesful. Additionally it will beep if the read was succesful.
Styling
Styling is the same as for keyboard input. The reader appends a carriage return(Enter key) on the end of the data to allow triggering of a zone using the Enter key for keyboard substitution.
