Pixel Touchscreens HSE-45

Pixel Touch manufactures an 8 bit resistive touch touchscreen controller that communicates via serial port at 2400 baud. The DOS touch driver is completely compatible with TouchPro and other Touch Menus products. As the Pixel touch driver uses a separate configuration file, the touch driver and calibrate utility need to be in a local directory for each workstation. The following information assumes a standard hardware configuration with touch connected to COM1.
Required Files
* HAMOUSES.EXE – DOS touch driver
* HDOSCALS.EXE – Calibration utility
* HAMDOSMS.INI – Configuration file
Load these files in the C:HAMMOUSE directory. This is the default for the Pixel install utility.

AUTOEXEC.BAT
1. Replace the existing touch driver command with:
C:HAMMOUSEHAMOUSES /b
/b tells it to communicate to COM1 at 2400 baud.
2. Add C:HAMMOUSE to the Path command.
Calibration
To calibrate, type HDOSCALS and touch the mark as prompted on the screen. This utility requires that the HAMOUSES driver be loaded first. Some corruptions to HAMDOSMS.INI can cause the calibration utility to fail at certain points to detect touch. If this happens, press Esc to exit the utility and then rerun it as needed until it completes the calibration process.
