    Check Listing Plugin ChekList 6.02

    Last edited: December 15, 2003 08:07 AM

The Check Listing plugin is a custom plugin written explicitly for Stockmans, but is available for download to dealers who would like to use it as is. It provides a listing of check amounts by node for each check posted for the date range selected.  These amounts can be masked to exclude individual price levels.

    Configuration

ChekList1.jpg (10390 bytes)Check Listing can be configured from the Configure Extra Reports section of the File pulldown menu.  When first installed the four price level boxes will be checked.  When unchecked, they prevent Check Listing from including amounts from PLUs that were rung up at that price level.  If no items qualify on a check, the check will not be listed on the report.

    Technical

Check Listing loads Registry.Dat for the configuration options and Employee.Dat for the employee names.  It then reads the journal files as necessary, until it has finished the last journal file, or hit 10,000 entries.  The last step is to build the report.  Because of the size of the report, coupled with the requirement to list by node, report building can take up to 30 seconds.  If the user tries to run a report with more than 10,000 entries, only the first 10,000 entries will be printed, and the following warning message will be printed:

===>  Report Exceeded Maximum Size of 10000 Lines  <===
===>    Some Lines Were Dropped      <=== Check Listing holds the price level flags on line 50 of Registry.Dat using a four digit number of which each digit represents one price level.  One is checked, zero is unchecked.  For example, a value of “0001” would mean that only price level 3 is checked.
    Revisions

    7/20/99  Version 6.00  rw

      1. Initial Release

    10/14/99  Version 6.01  rw

      1. Redesigned it to print a line for each media instead of for each check.
      2. It now sorts by node.  Sorting forced there to be a limit on the number of lines that could be handled, so the limit is 10,000 media entries.
      3. Added date, time, and media name to each entry.

    01/19/00  Version 6.02  rw

      1. Removed media breakout from report.  There is now only one line per check.
      2. Added configuration screen to allow masking checks by price level.
