    Credit Card Installation

      1. Backup ICMODEM boot disk to the server. The ICMODEM boot disk is identical to a regular workstation boot disk except that the last commands are:
              CDICVERIFY
              ICMULTI
              ICVERIFY /O/M MULTI
      2. In the ICMODEM AUTOEXEC.BAT file add the /D switch temporarily to the ICVERIFY command.  This will run it in demo mode, performing all functions but not actually dialing out.  This is good for training and initial testing purposes.  Remove the switch when you go live.
      3. Install ICVerify on the server.
      4. Call ICVerify at (510)-553-7501 to get a validation code.  You must supply the following info:
              A) Customer name
              B) Customer address
              C) Customer phone
              D) Credit card approval agency
              E) Who ICVerify purchased from  (TouchMenus)
              F) Single or Multi-user version (Multi-user)
              G) Program version number
              H) Merchant terminal ID
              I) Program serial number
      5. Run ICSETUP to configure ICVerify. ICSETUP either selects the next page automatically or goes to the menu with the next page highlighted.  The pages are designed to be programmed sequentially with Processor Setup run first.  The following fields have to be set:
                      PAGE         OPTION         SET TO
Processor Type Credit Card Info Select from list
Terminal ID  Terminal ID            Customers ID number
Terminal Info Node Phone Number Number for approval
Alternate Phone #      Alternate approval #
Settlement Phone #    Number for settlement
Altrnt Settl Phone #  Alternate settlemnt #
Merchant Code      Number of Users  Authorized number if
                                                      more than 6.
Merchant Info    Merchant name    Customer name
                                Merchant Address 1 Customer address
                                Merchant City,St,Zip  Customer city,st,zip
                                Merchant Phone #    Customer phone
Type of Business F (for food)
Hardware        Modem Port 4 (for COM4)
                                  Dial String Tab to SupraFax144
Number of Receipts 0 (disables receipts)
      6. Style the customers application as needed or copy in the credit card files provided by TouchMenus or install the CC styling module.
      7. Set up a station with a modem for nightly reconciliation.
              A) Set up the office station to run ICVERIFY.  Note that ICVerify uses memory differently and should have a dual boot set up in the CONFIG.SYS, requiring a reboot when switching between ICVERIFY and other programs.  See the CONFIG.SYS and        AUTOEXEC.BAT sections for details.  Also note that this will require the office station to have a modem.

                  – or –

        B) Put a monitor and keyboard on the ICMODEM station and perform reconciliation through it.
    Operation

Initial authorizations are normally done through Touchnet.  Corrections and end of day settlement are done by running ICVerify directly. Activate ICVerify by typing Alt-V on a station where ICVerify is already loaded.  Select Charge Card Authorization.  Select the desired operation from that menu.  Possible choices include Authorization, Add Tips, Void, Credit, Force, Edit Transactions, Settlement, and Print Settlement Report.

The Settlement is the only required step and, when selected, give you a screen of report options for a settlement report that can be run. Recommended report options are YNEO.  Upon completing that screen, ICVerify will perform the settlement function.
    Supplemental Documentation

CCSPEC.DOC  – Details various hardware configurations under which the credit card feature can be installed.
