With the purchase of all Creative Depths and Touch Menus source code by Hospitality Data Systems Inc. The Manager32 software has been replaced with Win-EZ Manager. This documentation has been provided as a reference for all changes that occurred prior to the Version 2.00 release of Win-EZ Manager.

    Whats new in Manager32?

    Version 1.01 (Alpha Release 1)

    * When shutting down Manager32, the databases are now automatically
    saved.

    * The M32ItemRep plugin is now ready for Beta release. The filter
feature works! See the following URL for documentation on this
    plugin.

    * Manager32 now creates a registry entry that will make it easier
for a Report Plugin installer to find the folder where the
    plugins are to be installed.

    Version 1.02 (Alpha Release 2)

    * When viewing Report snapshots, the page display wasn’t working
    correctly. fixed.

    * A new field has been added to the Report Customizing window called
Annotation. This optional text will appear below the Report title
    on the printed report.

    * Manager32 now only allows 1 instance to be run at a time. An
attempt to launch a 2nd instance restores the 1st to the screen.

    * Manager32 now annotates the Version key in the registry for
    autoupdate.

    * New Plugin reports will now automatically install into a profile
if that profile doesn’t yet use the new plugin, when the profile
    is loaded.

    * The “Load Profile” window now allows you to create a new profile
by clicking the “New” button. The old but less obvious method is
    still available also.

    * There is now a Help/About box in Manager32 which lists the version
number for Manager32 and the TM/IS

    Version 1.03 (Alpha Release 3)

    * Logo was changed to the new Win-EZ Logo.

    * Realtime features have been mocked up with real data links now.

    * The Home tab has been changed to now include 3 subtabs:
+Welcome – Will be the location for Intro information,
    HTML ads etc.
+Realtime Statistics – Where the realtime data will be
    displayed.
+Shortcuts – The location for the new Shortcuts feature
    described below.

    * A New subtab has been added to the Home page called Shortcuts. This
can contain a list of other programs to Launch so that Manager32
can be used as a central navigation point. Shortcuts can be
added by Editing the current profile and clicking ‘Edit Shortcuts’
    on the ‘General’ Tab.

    * This version now uses the latest TMIS which may be used with the new
    KeyLok Device.

    * Added a Power Menus logo to the list of available logos. Also changed the
default logo that is seen before a profile is loaded to the Creative Depths
    insignia.

    Version 1.04

    * Removed the Welcome message (for now).

    * Manager32 will now make a backup of important .DAT files to a folder called
DataBak (below the application folder) everytime it loads a profile for
    peace of mind.

    Version 1.05

Was never formally released – broke COM interfaces

    Version 1.06 9/5/02

! Will need to be completely re-installed – COM interfaces have been broken !!!
This includes all Plugin reports :(

    * If a new application was created, the feature that makes a backup of important
.DAT files would error out due to the fact that the files didn’t exist yet. This
    has been fixed.

    * If the chosen application is being used by Manager32 or Manager16 elsewhere in the
network the application will be opened for Read-Only Access. Any database changes
    will not be saved.

    * All stock plugin reports now support Overrings.

    Version 1.07 9/7/02

    * The feature that makes a backup of important .DAT files would fail if the files
existed on a 16bit file server. This has been fixed.

    Version 1.50

    * The Execute button on the shortcuts page no longer causes an error if there are no
    shortcuts selected.

    * Manager32’s window can now be resized or maximized.

    * When selecting report dates, it is now possible to choose from a list of available
dates (like Manager for DOS) by selecting a new checkbox in the window.

    * Improved the Progress bar and status text by placing them in a window to allow
better control and to allow adding a cancel and a hide button.

    * Added labor reporting capabilities to TM/IS, and added a Labor Report Plugin.

    * Updated the UI to look similar to the website.

    * SecretNumber is now supported on Employee Screens

    * Extensive changes in TM/IS to support all of the Manager for DOS data access points.

    * Removed Custom Logo support and replaced it with 3 branding fields that can be edited
by going into Edit Profile, then pressing F5 to bring up the secret Dealer
profile window. In this window a Dealer can set their name, some text, and a logo
to be displayed on the Welcome Page.

    * Added Labor Summary reporting in the Labor Report Plugin.

    * Added a Back button to the Report viewer.

    * Added a Save button to the Report viewer.

    * Added the ability to restrict access to certain parts of a profile. The settings for
this feature can be found under “Welcome > Profile > Security” Where you can edit
a password and establish what restrictions are imposed on those who don’t know the
    password.

    * When in Restricted Use mode, a lock icon now appears in the upper left hand corner.
Clicking on this icon will allow the user to enter a password and unlock Manager32.

    * When changes are made to the product database or other data that needs saving, an
icon now appears in the upper left hand corner to allow saving of this data.

    * Shortcuts can now be password protected. If using this feature it would be best to
also retrict access to Customizing Shortcuts.

    * Double clicking the clock icon in the progress window will now hide the window.
