Creating Customer Manager Reports

Here are step by step instructions for creating your own Customer Manager Reports:

1. Run Customer Manager, press Alt-F for the File menu, then select Reports.

2. Press Insert to add a new report.

3. Type in a name for this report (Ex: Customers That I Like).

4. Select an Output Format for this report from the pull down list (Ex: Phone List). The Output Format determines which fields will be used. See below for Sample Report Formats.

5. If you want to see everybody in your database then you can skip steps 6 through 11. However if you want to limit, or mask the report to show only certain customers you still have work to do.

6. Press Insert a new mask.

7. Select the field you want to mask by (Ex: Order in Past Days).

8. Enter the value or values requested for this field (Ex: 30 for Order in Past Days).

9. Press Alt-I to include all customers that fit this value, or Alt-E to exclude these customers.

10. Press Esc when done setting up this mask.

11. If you want to mask by two or more fields, repeat steps 6 through 10 as needed. Otherwise, press Esc to exit the Modify Report section.

12. You’re ready to generate the report. Make sure the report name is highlighted and press Enter.

13. Your final step is to select whether to view, print, create a text file, or create an export file. This works the same as running reports in your regular Managers program.

You’ve done it! You now have a report customized to fit your needs. This report is automatically saved so that you won’t have to build it again in the future. Go ahead and try another report or press Esc to exit the Reports section. Questions can be answered by Your Support Technician.
