There is a known issue with upgrading from 2.16 and older versions to a 2.24 or newer version.
The dataTxtrec.dat file is the wrong version. The file was upgraded by the 2.17 – 2.20 installers, but will not work if those versions were skipped.
The symptom is that the first time Win-EZ Manager is started after the upgrade it will seem to hang on the “Loading Application Data” screen. The error log will also show a repetitive “Overflow” error in the “GetPLUIndex” routine.
The solution is to delete the file and Restart Manager. If the client has current PLU recipes then you can email the file to me and I will convert it.
