Win-EZ Manager 2.28 and up…….

In order for a patch to take effect it has to replace several services that are running. This is accomplished by rebooting the computer after the patch process is completed.

The reboot can be avoided by giving the patch access to the services during the patch process. Win-EZ Services can be stopped from within Win-EZ Server.

Bring Win-EZ Server on screen from the System Tray. Selecting F5 on the keyboard will change from the status display to a dealer display. Select the Services tab, and stop each service.

Once all services are stopped, right click on server and select Shut Down.

Make sure that Win-EZ Manager is not running, and you are ready to run the patch file.

The patch process will restart all of the services after the patch has taken effect.
