Printers

This tab of the Options Window lets you define information for the printers that Win-EZ Printing communicates with. For printers P11 - P20 there is a second tab of printers.

Printer Name

Win-EZ Printing can communicate with up to 20 remote printers. The printer Logical Device Names are pre specified as "P1" through "P20". 

Monitor Check Box

If a printer with this Logical Device Name is attached to the system, and should receive print jobs, check the box. If a printer is not attached to the system do not set it to be monitored. If a printer is being monitored, and does not have a "Good" status, Win-EZ Printing will attempt to reconnect to the printer every 10 seconds. Some printers have an extremely long time out, which can delay regular print jobs.

Inactive Check Box

By setting a printer to inactive, Win-EZ Printing will not attempt to reconnect to the printer, however Win-EZ POS will continue to create print jobs for this printer. This setting is used with the backup printer setting to continue to send print jobs to a backup printer, when a printer will be off for a long period of time. (Several days)

Backup Drop Down

Win-EZ Printing is capable of redirecting print jobs when a printer is offline, or out of paper. you can select a printer from the list, that will take the print job if the primary printer goes down
