    Co-sessions Communications Package

    Last edited: December 15, 2003 08:07 AM

Co-sessions is a modem communications program to link two computers. It communicates only with another Co-sessions module. Co-sessions consists of three different modules:

      1. HOST- In-store module installed with every system.  Can answer or call out and pass control to either REMOTE or SXL. Run PHONE to configure.  Will use Default entry to determine modem and port.  Run HOST to wait for call or HOST -c to call out using Default phone number.  We set Default number to our Call for Support phone line. Unload by typing SUNLOAD.
      2. REMOTE – Module used to take manual control of a system running host.  Runs as a TSR. Activates by typing {Alt}{Lft Shift} which brings up menu.  Unloads by typing SUNLOAD.
      3. SXL – Also known as Co-sessions XL.  Scripting language to allow automated processes such as night transfers to occur.  Run SCALLID to configure.  Recommend using all upper case as directory entries are case sensitive.  See supplemental documents for details on specific scripts.  Do not run any executables from this directory while HOST is running as HOST will trap some of the file calls and insert its own files.

    Supplemental Documents

SCRP1.DOC – Automated night transfer routine to transfer all information from store to office.

SCRP2.DOC – Automated night transfer routine where Editnet is run at office and Manager is run at store.

SCRP2MUL.DOC – Multi-store night transfer routine where Editnet is run at office and Manager is run at store.

SCRP3.DOC – Automated night transfer routine where Editnet and Manager are run at office.

SCRP3MUL.DOC – Multi-store night transfer routine where Editnet and Manager are run at office.
