The TM-T88III is a 40 column thermal printer with the ability to print a graphic image, such as a customer logo. It is ideal where quality guestcheck printing is needed.

[b:3nklmb9n]Dip Switches[/b:3nklmb9n]
There are two banks of dip switches accessible by removing a cover plate on the bottom of the printer. Switch 7 on bank 1 is set to On. All other switches on both banks are set to Off. This is the factory default.
[b:3nklmb9n]Lights[/b:3nklmb9n]
[list:3nklmb9n]
[*:3nklmb9n]Power – Always On, if printer is turned on and receiving power.[/*:m:3nklmb9n]
[*:3nklmb9n]Error – Normally Off. If On solid, then the top cover is open. If Flashing, then an internal error condition has occurred. There are several different patterns of flashing lights to aid a repairman in fixing the problem, but none of the causes are user repairable.[/*:m:3nklmb9n]
[*:3nklmb9n]Paper Out – Normally Off. When the paper is low, this light will come on but the printer will continue to print. When the paper is out, this light will stay on, but the printer will stop printing. If running a self-test, this light will flash.[/*:m:3nklmb9n][/list:u:3nklmb9n]
[b:3nklmb9n]Paper[/b:3nklmb9n]
To load the paper, open the cover by pushing the large release button located on the top right side of the printer. There is no paper path to thread. Simply make sure the end of the paper extends far enough to exit the printer, and close the lid. The paper roll should be oriented so the paper curls to the back as it comes out of the printer.
[b:3nklmb9n]Cash Drawers[/b:3nklmb9n]
The TM-T88II can drive up to two cash drawers through an RJ11 port labeled DK located on the back of the printer. The TM-T88II requires cash drawers equipped with 24V solenoids. Do not use 12V drawers typically supplied for Star printers.
[b:3nklmb9n]Cables[/b:3nklmb9n]
For serial printers, a female DB25 connector is provided. Cabling is the same as for Star printers.
[b:3nklmb9n]P.O.S. Specific[/b:3nklmb9n]
Note: These codes are the default codes in Win-EZ.
Bar code and logos, are handled by Win-EZ as well.
For the full list of codes for bar code, and logo printing see the [color=red:3nklmb9n][u:3nklmb9n][b:3nklmb9n]TM-T88II[/b:3nklmb9n][/u:3nklmb9n][/color:3nklmb9n][/url:3nklmb9n] documentation, as the codes are the same.GENERAL CODES:

[b:3nklmb9n]Troubleshooting[/b:3nklmb9n]
After a normal power up, the Power light should be on, and all other lights should be off. If the printer does not operate or has malfunctioned, check the following items:
[list:3nklmb9n]
[*:3nklmb9n][b:3nklmb9n]Self Test:[/b:3nklmb9n] Turn the power OFF. Next, hold down FEED while turning the printer power ON. This will generate the first part of the self test containing internal information about the printer, and then leave the Paper Out light flashing. Press FEED again and an alphanumeric pattern will print for about five more seconds.
[/*:m:3nklmb9n]
[*:3nklmb9n][b:3nklmb9n]No Power:[/b:3nklmb9n] The TM-T88II uses a 24V power adapter model PS-170. This in turn should be plugged firmly into the power connector in the back of the printer. The power switch is located on the front of the printer.
[/*:m:3nklmb9n]
[*:3nklmb9n][b:3nklmb9n]Paper Out Light On:[/b:3nklmb9n] If the printer is not printing, then the printer is out of paper. This light will come on when the paper is low, but the printer will continue to print.
[/*:m:3nklmb9n]
[*:3nklmb9n][b:3nklmb9n]Error Light On Solid:[/b:3nklmb9n] The lid is not latched solidly shut. Push down firmly on the lid.
[/*:m:3nklmb9n]
[*:3nklmb9n][b:3nklmb9n]Error Light Flashing:[/b:3nklmb9n] A hardware error has occured. If the problem can’t be corrected by turning the computer off and back on, then the printer needs to be replaced.[/*:m:3nklmb9n][/list:u:3nklmb9n]
