The Group Summary plugin is a custom plugin written explicitly for Manna Enterprises, but is available for download to dealers who would like to use it as is. The report is similar to the Group report in Manager, with the exception that Discounts are excluded from the original section, then factored back in separately.  This is sometimes referred to as full value sales.  A group overring section is also included.  This report is identical to the first section of the Summary plugin, which is descended from the Daily Summary Report(DSR).

Installation

Place the following files in the Plugins directory:

    * GroupSum.EXE – the program executable
    * GroupSum.PID – the program definition file

Technical

Group Summary loads Groups.Dat for the group names.  It then reads the journal files and creates the report per standard report plugin procedures as defined in [color=red:cmigz94j][u:cmigz94j][b:cmigz94j]Programming Plugins[/b:cmigz94j][/u:cmigz94j][/color:cmigz94j][/url:cmigz94j].

The report is identical in calculation and format to the [color=red:cmigz94j][u:cmigz94j][b:cmigz94j]Summary Report Plugin[/b:cmigz94j][/u:cmigz94j][/color:cmigz94j][/url:cmigz94j] and the [color=red:cmigz94j][u:cmigz94j][b:cmigz94j]Daily Summary Report[/b:cmigz94j][/u:cmigz94j][/color:cmigz94j][/url:cmigz94j].  Discounts are defined as any negatively priced PLU, and are excluded from the main section of the report.  They are then listed by group in a separate section and factored back in to to calculate net sales, followed by a section that further adds tax back in to give gross sales, shown as Total To Account For.

The Overrings section lists overrings by group.  However, unlike discounts, overrings are already included in the main section and are therefore not factored in within any of the subsequent sections.

If there are no discounts on the report, the Discount section is omitted entirely.  The same is true for overrings.
