    Installation

The reader is plugged into the keyboard port.  A keyboard, if existing, is plugged into the reader.  Switch 3 must be changed to ON from the default.  This will cause the reader to pass track 2 only through the keyboard.

    Operation

Magnetic cards can be swiped through the reader in either direction as long as the magnetic stripe faces the read head.  The reader will beep once for a successful read and three times for a bad read.

    Styling

Input from the reader is interpreted by Touchnet as keyboard input so styling is the same as for a keyboard.  In general, a variable such as Memo 1 is activated using the Activate Variable command.  Then a hidden zone is created that uses the {Enter} key for keyboard
substitution.  Any commands in this zone will be executed when the card is successfully swiped.
