    Credit Card Interface

    Single Station Configuration

In this configuration, ICVerify is run as a TSR on this node, and when a request is made, operation of that station is suspended while a call is made to a credit card validation service using a modem installed in place of Com2 on that station.  The local printer must be moved to LPT1 to allow room for the modem.

    Required for operation

      1. Mag Stripe Reader
      2. Keyboard Wedge
      3. 2400 baud modem
      4. ICVerify
      5. CCUDM.EXE  (Interfaces Touchnet to ICVerify)

    Multi-Station Configuration

In this configuration, an extra workstation is installed in the network to run ICVerify and manage all traffic through the modem. This workstation must be dedicated for credit card verification and be running no other software.  A 286 is sufficient for this purpose. No monitor or keyboard is needed for this workstation.  There is no limit to the number of Cashier stations this can support and only a Reader and Wedge would be required at each station.

    Required for operation

      1. Mag Stripe Reader (one per Cashier station)
      2. Keyboard Wedge (one per Cashier station)
      3. CPU
      4. 2400 baud modem
      5. ICVerify
      6. CCUDM.EXE (Interfaces Touchnet to ICVerify)

    UDM Configuration

The UDM Configuration functions the same as the Multi-Station Configuration except that the Mag Stripe Reader is internal and no keyboard wedge is used.

    Required for operation

      1. CPU
      2. 2400 baud modem
      3. ICVerify
      4. CCUDM.EXE (Interfaces Touchnet to ICVerify)
