Installing the 10baseT I/O board1. Open the base with two screws recessed through the display stand. The display must be in the full upright position.
2. Remove the PS/Interface board with screws in the front left, front right, and back left corners, and the four transformer screws.
3. Remove the I/O bezel with two nuts located on the power filter.
4. Insert the I/O board and the new bezel.
5. Reassemble using one extra screw for the I/O board.Installing the 10baseT Logic Board
1. Open the Personality module with the 8 screws located on the back.
2. Plug the Logic board into the edge connector near the hard disk so the component side faces the same way as the main board.Installing the Security Chip
1. Remove the Display module from the Personality module using the UDM key to lift the two tabs in the back.
2. Open up the Display module with the 8 screws located on the back.
3. Remove the LCD display with the 4 screws holding the metal frame. Be careful not to lose the tiny lockwashers on them.
4. Remove the electrical tape holding the two white wires and disconnect the plug from the display board.
5. Lay the LCD display on the cover along with the EMI shield.
6. Remove the logic board with the single screw located in the center of the board.
7. Remove the old security chip using ONLY the special chip puller for that type of socket. Prying with a screwdriver will destroy the chip.
8. Insert the new chip orienting it to match the old chip. Note that this is the same as the similar looking chip adjacent to it.
9. Reassemble and test.Testing and Configuring the Network Card
1. Run UDMTEST.
2. Select ETHERNET.
3. The system should tell you what network card is installed and display technical info on the board.
4. To program a unique network address select CHANGE ETHERNET CONTROLLER BOARD NETWORK ADDRESS.
5. Key in a unique number for each board on the network. The 10baseT board serial number is recommended if known. -
