Product Mix Plugin

The Product Mix plugin is a custom plugin written explicitly for American Retail Systems, but is available for download to dealers if they want to use it as is.  It is identical to the Itemized Group report in Manager except that the Percent of Sales column has been replaced by a Check count column that reports the number of checks that the item was sold on.

Installation

Place the following files in the Plugins directory:

    * ProdMix.EXE – the program executable
    * ProdMix.PID – the program definition file

Technical

The Product Mix plugin reads the necessary journal files to generate the report.  Additionally, it reads Product.Dat for the item names, and Groups.Dat for the group names.  Report options existing as of 6.57 are respected.  The Checks column is a count of all checks that have at least one of that item.  To put it another way, if three of one item was sold on a check, the Quantity column would be increased by three, but the Checks column would be increased by one.
