Lantastic is a discontinued and unsupported networking protocol.

HDS does not currently use Lantastic for any new systems, and does not recommend its usage.

Lantastic 8.1 does work with Win 2K / XP however there are serious issues. The network speed is the most notable.

Existing sites that need to run Win-EZ Manager, or Win-EZ Credit Card should be installed on a Windows 2000 or better OS, with the Windows Machine “Serving” the system. The DOS Machine should be set up as a print server only to handle remotes.
