Setting up a file server has been dramatically simplified as of version 2.26 of Win-EZ Manager.

Manager now installs the Security Dongle as part of its setup, then on first run, Manager will search for a “Default” profile in the “Win-EZClient” folder. If this file exists then Manager will use it, otherwise the First Run Wizard will appear. If a “New Configuration” is selected, then the Win-EZ and Client folders will be created, and shared in Windows. then the current “Win-EZ” files will be downloaded, and installed for you. You will be given a choice for the contents of the “Client” folder. You can provide a backup file that was taken from another copy of Manager (your own master database, or a client application that was previously set up.), Copy a folder on the network (mapped drive), or download one of the masters from the Win-EZ website. (This feature may not work reliably in 98)

F.Y.I. Please be sure to attach the dongle [i:quthsp6z][b:quthsp6z]before[/b:quthsp6z][/i:quthsp6z] running the new installer. Manager 2.26 will install the necessary dongle components (parallel Only).
