MemberT2 Bridge Installation
T2 Bridge (Touch Tab Bridge) is a Windows application that allows TouchPRO, and other applications, to authorize and capture Touch Tab card Transactions.
T2 Bridge can synchronize Touch Tab account information between multiple locations by periodically exporting transaction data from satellite locations so that it can be transported to the central location designated as the Hub. The Hub operator then imports the data, and the Bridge synchronizes and saves it to a special folder for retrieval/transport to the satellite. T2 Bridge does not provide a method for transporting the data. We recommend that data transport be done via TMNet. However, data transport can be done by removable media or with communications programs such as LapLink.
This document is designed for the developer who wishes to set up T2 Bridge.
See the T2 Bridge document for details about its operation.
InstallationBefore the Bridge is installed the below components should be installed in the following order:
1. Internet Explorer 4.01 SP1 or newer
2. MDAC 2.5 (ADO 2.5)
Microsoft Data Access Components – Provides data access methods for the bridge’s “Back end database”. The MDAC installation/Setup file is named “Mdac_typ.Exe”. MDAC can be downloaded here: mdac_typ.exe
3. When the above is completed you can run the appropriate Bridge set-up executable. I.e. T2Bridge100.EXE
SetupThe following options must be set before the Bridge will operate correctly:

1. The path to the valid TouchPro application that the Bridge will monitor for transactions.[img:1ikop1vh]http://www.possupport.net/dealer/kbase/images/t2_opt2.jpg[/img:1ikop1vh]
2. A unique ‘Store No’ that identifies this store/restaurant. Store No. 99999 is reserved for the location that acts as Corporate.
3. The printer that will be used for printing reports.
4. The proper codes for issuing a cut command to the ‘Report Printer’.
5. The ‘Operation Mode’ for this store/restaurant.
1. Act as StoreChoose this setting if the location will be reporting it’s bridge data to a ‘Corporate Hub’ for data synchronization among multiple stores/restaurants.
2. Act as Corporate
This mode is meant for a central location, E.g. a corporate headquarters, that receives data from multiple stores/restaurants and synchronizes it for return to each individual location so that all locations will have the same data.
3. Act as Standalone
The ‘Standalone’ mode is meant for a store/restaurant that is not part of a group. It’s self contained and does not synchronize it’s data with other locations.
See the T2 Bridge document for details about its operation.
