1.
Insert disk #1 into the A: drive
2.Run the Setup.EXE program on the disk.
3.Choose OK for the pre-determined setup location.
4.Follow the on-screen prompts.
Setup
Step 1
Define the directories for:
1.
Touch Menus application (e.g. c:touchnetjoes)
2.Schedule Maker (e.g. c:sche-win)
3.Forecaster (e.g. c:forecast)
Step 2
If you are using Forecaster, you will need to create 3 “sales sets” within Forecaster before you can import sales from your Touch Menus application. You must create the following sales sets:
1.
HOURLY
2.30MIN
3.15MIN
Be sure to name them exactly as spelled above.
(See the Forecaster manual for instructions on creating “sales sets”.)
Step 3
If you are using Schedule Maker for the first time, you will need to delete the sample employee database (MPL) within Schedule Maker before importing your Touch Menus employee database.
(See the Schedule Maker manual for instructions on deleting your MPL)
Importing Employees
To import employees from your Touch Menus application into Schedule Maker, click on the “Import Employees” button. This will copy the employees defined within your Touch Menus application to the Schedule Maker employee database. If an employee ID already exists in Schedule Maker, you will be warned and prompted to overwrite.
Once you have imported your Touch Menus employee database into Schedule Maker, it is recommended that you no longer use the Touch Menus Manager program for employee maintenance. Use Schedule Maker to maintain your employees and export the changes to Touch Menus.
NOTE: You must be sure to only use 4 digit employee numbers in Schedule Maker. Touch Menus only allows for a 4 digit employee id.
Exporting Employees
To export employee changes from Schedule Maker to your Touch Menus application, click on the “Export Employees” button. This will export all employees defined within Schedule Maker to Touch Menus.
NOTE: This will overwrite the Touch Menus employee database.
Importing Sales
To import sales from Touch Menus into Forecaster you must first define “sales sets” within Forecaster. The sales sets supported by the interface are:
* HOURLY
* 30MIN
* 15MIN1. Click on the “Import Sales” button to bring up the sales dialog.
2. To import a new date, select a date from the left list box (Available Touch Menus sales dates) and then click on the “Import” button. OR double click on the Touch menus sales date. This action will import the sales into all three “sales sets”
3. When finished, click the “Done” button. -
