There are three standard versions of Manager software:

Win-EZ Manager

Win-EZ Manager is the current release version for all P.O.S. Applications. It is Windows based, and offers the largest variety of features and options of any version. Win-EZ Manager can be used for any version of P.O.S. Application, however some features may be disabled, or not fully functional when used with a P.O.S. Application other than the “Hi Res” version of Win-EZ. 

Manager 32.

Manger 32 is a Windows based version of Manager, similar to Win-EZ Manager, however Manager 32 was never completed and is missing several core features. Manager 32 installations are not supported by HDS, or our dealers, and should be upgraded to Win-EZ Manager. 

DOS Manager.

Dos Manager is a DOS only application (although it can be run on a windows machine), and does not have any mouse support. It is the oldest version, and is considered obsolete due in part to the fact that it will only print to “Parallel” printers that are not widely manufactured any more. DOS Manager should NEVER be used on a “Hi Res” Win-EZ application, and cannot be used on any site that is using Win-EZ Manager version 2.21 or higher. While HDS supports DOS Manager on “Legacy” applications, we encourage clients to consider upgrading to Win-EZ Manager, to take advantage of the many improved features.
