MemberWin-EZ Credit Card is a Windows server application that allows Win-EZ P.O.S., and TouchPRO P.O.S. applications to authorize and capture credit card transactions. This document explains the basics involved in setting up a server to run Win-EZ Credit Card. For more in depth information please refer to the documentation provided with the Win-EZ Credit Card, and NETePay products.
[b:2k9709o6]How it Works[/b:2k9709o6]
Win-EZ Credit Card acts as an interface between Win-EZ P.O.S. and NETePay. It handles all transaction requests between the two applications, maintains all batch records for reporting and submission, and provides an interface for manual transactions, reporting, and batch maintenance.
[b:2k9709o6]NETePay[/b:2k9709o6]
NETePay is a software application written by [color=red:2k9709o6][u:2k9709o6][b:2k9709o6]DataCap Systems Inc[/b:2k9709o6][/u:2k9709o6][/color:2k9709o6][/url:2k9709o6]. to communicate with the credit card network. NETePay is essentially a software replacement for the DataTran Modem used in other POS systems.
NETePay can be obtained from DataCap, and must be available before Win-EZ Credit Card can process transactions.
NETePay can reside on the same computer as Win-EZ Credit Card, or another computer on the network. For certain networks (Mercury, Sterling) the NETePay software resides on the provider’s server on the internet. In these situations a copy of NETePay is not required on the POS network.
NETePay requires 128 bit encryption to send transactions to the processor. This means that Internet Explorer 5.5 or better needs to be installed on the computer. I.E 6.0 can be found here.
NETePay requires Windows 2K or better.
Note that if the Sterling, or Mercury networks are used, that NETePay is not needed on the POS system as it is running on the Network Providers server.
Please contact DataCap for more information on NETePay

Win-EZ Credit Card was designed to be a “Drop In” replacement for TraPr. This means that it can be placed on a system that had TraPr, and (once the NETePay is installed) will interact with a legacy TouchPro, or Win-EZ application just as TraPr did. Win-EZ Credit Card also has a great range of new features available to the POS application, and in some cases an upgrade will be available. A new version of Win-EZ POS that supports all of the features is also available, just contact H.D.S. for more information.
[b:2k9709o6]Networks[/b:2k9709o6]
Win-EZ Credit Card supports all Credit Card Networks available through NETePay.
The current networks that Win-EZ Credit Card supports are:
Vital (VisaNet)
Heartland
Cardnet (CES)
NOVA
Global (through MPS)
Payment Tech (Sterling)
Concord
When ordering Win-EZ Credit Card, If using Express Lane by Sterling, or Mercury Payment Systems please specify these on the PO. These networks require a slightly different authorization on the license dongle.
Also note that (as with all Windows based Win-EZ products) the HASP software protection device is not supported with Win-EZ Credit Card.
